Delivering no less than 800 watt, each mono is designed to be an absolute colossus in both power handling and physical presence. The Black Widow Amplifier Mono lends itself ideally to the concept of balanced bridge operation in that the two stereo channels of a standard Black Widow operate in true mono mode, each with its own dedicated power supply and no common circuitry at all, apart from the on/off logic. The addition of a high quality tubed differential input stage converts the two mono channels into an efficient balanced bridge configuration capable of a guaranteed 800 watt RMS into 8 ohm. The relatively small size of a Black Widow Mono makes it ideal for placement close to the speakers needing only short lengths of good quality speaker cable. The inputs of these monoblocks make provision for both balanced and single ended connection from any high quality pre-amplifier. The design of the Black Widow Mono remains hybrid, providing the best of both worlds in valve sonic character, fast paced dynamics and timing, absolute control, and reliability.
